Big Bear has the perfect atmosphere to celebrate and enjoy all Four Seasons.
Our mountains and surrounding neighborhoods support every winter sport imaginable. Our ski slopes offer levels from beginner to professional. And we have a slope just for snowboards and freestyle, with the only SUPERPIPE in Southern California! Toboggan and inter-tube rides for the young ones, fill everyone’s needs. Shopping in The Village adds a sense of the Holidays all winter long!
In spring, as the snow melts away and the greenery and wild flowers fill the fields and city, homeowners set out the patio furniture again, and enjoy the views. Hiking, Horseback riding, or just taking a walk, fills your soul full of peace and serenity….put the bird feeders out, and watch the variety of birds, from Blue Jays to wood peckers that will visit you.
Summer time is the getaway time for those who live in places like the desert area, as our summer days warm up to the 80’s and down the hill others suffer in the 100’s! Come visit for our 4th of July fireworks over the Lake, and put your boats in the water by Memorial Day BBQ’s . Then, enjoy fishing for trout, Bass, blue gill and catfish! Rent a jet ski or a pontoon boat, and explore the 22 miles of shoreline, and don’t forget about our 9-hole golf course!
Fall in Big Bear is just glorious! It is hard to feel the changing of the Seasons in Southern CA., but in Big Bear, the changing colors of the leaves, the smell of the fireplaces burning in the distance, small cozy cabins…..what can one say! Small walks in the neighborhood, or having the whole family up for Thanksgiving, make for memories to remember forever. Check our calendar of events for the Renaissance Fair followed by Octoberfest.
